Launching in 2001, Viva! Poland has grown into the largest animal rights group in Poland. Campaigning against key animal rights issues, the organisation also runs the Korabiewice Viva! Poland animal sanctuary, located about an hour from Warsaw. The sanctuary is home to over 500 animals including cats, dogs, horses, pigs, cows, chickens, ducks, goats and geese, as well a foxes and raccoon dogs, who have been rescued from the fur trade. When the recent conflict in Ukraine began, Viva! Poland immediately leapt into action, providing vital support to those caught in the crossfire of war; raising money, rescuing animals and delivering food, medicine and other essentials to those in need.
