It’s no wonder foie gras has been dubbed ‘torture in a tin’. Every year in France, around 38 million ducks and geese are forced into small cages where vast quantities of food are forcibly pumped into their stomachs so that their livers swell to 10 times their natural size.
The suffering of these birds is so extreme that the production of foie gras is illegal in this country. But the UK still imports 180 to 200 tonnes of foie gras every year. Britain is a driving force behind this cruel industry.
This great A6 leaflet is brilliant for spreading awareness and taking action. It is perfect for outreach events, used on stalls and door dropping.
