Dairy cows are the latest animals to be sentenced to a life behind bars in factory farms. Dairy giants Müller and Arla are driving the change.
Viva! Campaigns’ investigators have been into Müller’s farms on numerous occasions and have seen first-hand how bad zero grazing is. Cows live in filth, never step outside and never forage or feel the grass under their hooves. Their whole lives are spent inside a grimy shed, the grass from outside piled on the floor in front of the iron bars of their enclosures.
