Meet the Maker
When Heather Mills first discovered veganism in 1993 it was with the understanding that it was all about food, so she started making alternative meat, fish and dairy-free products by developing VBites Foods. Heather soon realised it was about so much more, the animals, health and the planet.
Heather vowed that she would create make up that was not tested on animals and did not contain any animals, so it was cruelty free. Heather worked with make-up artist Milena Thacker to create a brand that could compete against the best quality make up in the world. Which is much easier said than done. For example, beeswax is a key component in powder and other products to stop it crumbling – Be At One uses Avacado and Argan Oil instead.
