In 1999, Viva! were the first to expose the appealing conditions of duck factory farming in the UK. More than 20 years later and Viva! Campaigns’ latest investigation reveals little has changed.
Field Farm produces Quack! Duck Eggs, sold in Lincolnshire Co-op and distributed by egg giants, Stonegate and Noble Foods. Our investigation reveals thousands of ducks are forced to live on decaying excreta and their only access to water is from dirty bell drinkers – no swimming or cleaning; cruelly robbed of their natural behaviour.
Footage from hidden cameras captured workers brutally killing ducks by dislocating their necks – shockingly a legal practice – and leaving lame, sick and blind birds to suffer in pain. Birds are filmed as they struggled to walk, using their wings to slide along the sodden floor of the filthy barns.
Help us take action against this suffering by drop-dropping our A6 leaflet in your local area. Let’s end factory farming, before it ends us.
